This is when 'out of the wrapper' really means 'out of the wrapper'. She got off the truck earlier today and these are the first shots. The Suzuka Grey appears white until you get close when it turns a silvery grey. I plan to take some shots of it next to other cars as I understand the color appears different in different settings not unlike a chameleon.

Sidebalde color is a bit darker than I anticipated. Still... what a thrill. This forum has been an invaluable resource for the past 13 months.... thank you everyone for your knowledge, insight, and dogged determination to get the truth

Daytona Grey sideblade... correct. Im picking it up with a buddy who is a NY State Police Sargeant. We will be testing the governed speed maximum.

I will report back on a number of things touched on here... top speed, how much I was able to chew off the MSRP, if he threw in a jack, etc.

So it looks like you won't be following break-in procedures
That pesky break in. Ive read no more than 6000 rpm's. Whatever it is, I will dutifully adhere to

It's a special day, celebrate!

The interior is called Cognac and I got it with Audi Exclusive along with a few other things. If anyone is looking to order a new R8 and wants to see different options and 'outside the box' combinations and can get to the Northeast US... Audi has a corporate show room called the Audi Forum. They have loads of leather swatches that they'll actually lay inside the R8 for you, alcantara and all. They'll show you all manner of exterior colors and take hours to help you zero in on options.

Russman, thanks for the interior pics. The interior looks gorgeous!
Is that Audi Forum in NYC? I am just outside of Washington D.C. and think it may be worth the trip up to help visualize my dream car. I love the contrast of dark and light offsetting each other. Like a black dash and carpet with Cognac seats and door inserts, and of course, cognac alcantara headliner!:)

Do you have any more pics with better lighting? I'm seriously considering Suzuka Gray if I upgrade to the V10, but I've never seen the color in person.

Ill try and take some. Its a very tough color to visualize by a photo. Ill try and take a shot of it alongside the ibis white so as to see the contrast. I couldn't be happier.

Its the Audi forum in NYC and WELL worth the trip. They usually have an R8 on the floor and the employees are great. They have every leather swatch you can lay on the seats and I found it very helpful

Russman, thanks for the tip about the Audi Forum in NYC.
I am located in Northern Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C., new home to AOA. I had many questions like you did regarding the Audi Exclusive program and my Sales Rep put me in touch with the Audi Brand Specialist for North America. I discovered that the HQ has all of the items as the NY Forum. They also have one of the R10 cars there in the showroom!! There are huge swatches of Audi Exclusive leather and Alcantara!:)
I also found out that there are many options for exterior color. I was trying to get the Lamborghini Pearlescent Orange paint, but I was told it can't be done. Appearently Lambo uses a 3 step paint process and Audi uses a 4 step. I did learn that in addition to any Audi color from the past 10 years, I can also order a Porsche, VW or Bentley color.
I did inquire about the Inuit White Pearl that was used on the Q7 Coastline concept shown in Miami, but was told it was not available.
