Hello all,

I recently (a week ago) had oil change done prepping for the season.
I was detailing my car today, and noticed a leak on the engine bay. (Just left side)
Please refer to the pictures and let me know if anyone had similar experience, and what the cause was.

I cleaned the leak up for now to see if it does again and it seemed like a fresh new oil.
I am planning to take it to the mechanic if the problem persists.

Thank you all in advance.

If you’re facing the engine, near the left intake tube, there are 2 overflow/vent valves…make sure they are still there. Someone could knock one off easily. Usually, that’s transmission fluid that coughed up at some point.
I had the same thing and have seen 4 quarts spray out on a modded R8.

Also, there are a few specs of fluid for the gear box, depending on usage but we put the GT4 spec gearbox fluid in the DCT and it hasn’t puked up since then.

4 quarts! Wow that would be a mess
I believe there was also a recall to extend these vents as well to help prevent this from happening, might verify the recall was done. Oil would have had to have been spilled during the change or as others mentioned sprayed up there.
