Need some help here. I have a 2012 spyder V10 6MT. I need to access the connectors behind fire panels. Refer to the attached picture, how to remove the centre compartment (1)? I have removed the 4 screws around it but top part of the compartment is still attached. The connectors I need to access are behind the metal panel (2). Thanks in advance.

@434 , Thanks so much for responding my query. I unscrewed the middle screw inside the top compartment but the top part is still hinged to something. I can't see any more screw. Any idea what I have missed? Sorry of the picture quality, it shows the whole compartment is "floating" but hinged on the top. I tried to pull up and out but still no luck.

I was going thru the interior of my new to me car & noticed this round tab in one of the cubby.
Hope this is the hidden screw you're looking for.
Get a flat head screwdriver to unlock it. You should see a screw inside.

Thanks for your response. The whole you are referring to is actually for manually open/close the spyder top. The whole compartment seems loose after I removed the five screws around and in the compartment. I wonder if I need to remove the centre handbrake cover is order to remove the compartment?
