Different countries does make more sense... I was imagining a barn full of multiple Lambos, Ferraris, etc... Didn't seem to make a whole lot of sense!

 

Going to see the Rolls Royce on, Friday I think, will get pics of them and post them up. Other than that we have Mini and a TT here but don't see the point posting pics of them

Hey Davey, which of your Rolls is probably the fastest? I have a Right hand drive '58 with dual carbs. A real Beheamoth ! It was black on top and silver on bottom. New paint is reversed. Porshe 959 silver on top and charcoal mettalic on bottom. It's at Upholsterers now getting COMPLETELY refitted with orig.red leather. This is the same model the Beatles cruised..A Silver Cloud.

I don't know Their in storage atm, I'll get info on them etc when I go see them. Most of them should be really old, I've been told to keep them for a lot longer so the price goes up

 

I only have 959 paint. I think these Rolls would be happier living back in Merry 'OL England. My '58 was originally sold at Jack Barklay Ltd. Berkeley Square, London,W.1 Mayfair 7444. Is this shop still there?? I will show you an OLD map of your neighborhood in a few minutes.

Used to live in Lots Rd, also just off Wandsworth Bridge Rd, and off the Kings Rd, and not forgetting the pub in York Rd! The railway at back of Lots Rd is gone, so is Jack Barclay from the points on the map, tho' I think they're still in Mayfair.

If they had made a map of the good pubs in that area there wouldn't be any room for anything else! Sad to hear of the closure of the Youngs brewery at the east end of York rd. They used to deliver the beer by Clydesdale horse up until recently.

And I was born in the year '57. I think that qualifies me for ownership rights!

I LOVE the map. LOVE it. That's awesome. I'd frame that thing and put a plaque on the bottom explaining where it's from with a black and white. . . no sepia shot of the car. I personally have no problem with Davey's collection. I'm not sure I'd have multiples of the same car but honestly it's what enthusiasts do. I wouldn't have gotten the Bug but I totally understand it. The only thing I'm suprised over is that you haven't gone downstream rather than collect all new performance cars. Why not get a Daytona or an old Porsche speedster, XKE Etype, gull wing Benz, or a ton of others. It's what I'd do. I'm in the market for a nice Daytona I can restore. Haven't found what I'm looking for in 4 years looking.

While I admit I've wondered about the list (and am quite envious of it's vastness! - I do want to see a Bugatti.) I've always appreciated Davey's posts and agree w/smoothy's quote above.

Davey's always been stand up and mature far beyond his years in his posts and is quite entertaining too.

I don't think that Davey is the type that wants to own each and every one of his inherited cars. Give him time, he is pretty new at this game/bug -but learns fast. The U.S. is going to give him alot of cool opportunities to do more than in England, and all year long too!!!

The phone number you have from 1958, Mayfair 7444, is still the same but now its 020 7629 7444.

Also the map is still reasonably accurate.

F40 that was at the show I went to today, Car even went on the rally with us. Also first show where I saw another R8, Was the R8 Raptor with PES Supercharger. Also saw bumblebee there

 

1) nice looking set of cars there
2) I had a vision of Bumblebee tripping and landing on the Raptor, boy would that make a mess
3) Whats with the fems in the first pic, the one on the right looks like she just woke up and the dresses are made from discarded air bags?

 

Fact is, the cars I've listed, I have waiting for me. Whether people believe it or not, I don't care and this thread really isn't necessary, no matter how many people don't believe I have them.

 

Maybe there are people who don't want to beleive...MOST of us here, WANT to beleive. How silly if peolple are REALLY PM- ing their doubts !!! Let things play out . Its' all very interesting. And , maybe, if DD was full of it, he could have easily posted pics and said they were his. But he has not. I usually root/cheer for the underdog, but in rhis case DD might be the TOPdawg with this particular collection and at his age. I'll bet there are preteens in DUBAI that have an even more awesome stable of cars yet.
