I have considered them too. They sound like they would be great for handling, on dry surfaces.
According to the Pirelli data sheet (from their website) they do not offer a tire that would fit the front, but I am guessing that it is an old data sheet. Tire Rack shows several more sizes, and a few options for the R8. They are a treadwear of 60 and tread depth of 6/32 (compared to a normal 220 treadwear and 10/32 depth), so don't expect them to last too long. The fronts will be the directional and the rears the Asymmetrical.
They sound like a great summer tire if you live in a dry area with lots of curves, and you have other tires or just store the car for winter.
