I have driven both cars frequently and I would say they are very different. The Audi is much more comfortable, I could not recommend a GT3 for everyday driving. Unless you plan on tracking the car a lot then u will be more than happy with the Audi, it is a great car and much much more beautiful which is a bonus! :)

I've only owned a 08 GT3 and for my purpose, I think the r8 would have suited me better.....the Porsche GT3 is more of a "driver's car" but the looks are more sedate.

The R8 has more of the wow factor and ride quality is definitely softer from my driving impressions on a friend's car.

However now that I have my NSX, I most likely won't keep the R8 so it will be up for sale once I take delivery of it, if anyone is interested PM me for details on the car.
