I actually wish those front canards could be bolted instead of using adhesive.

@extrablack you could do that! You'd be smoking holes through your bumper, but it's possible. I don't know that I'd recommend that approach.

The OEM GT canards have little clips that go through slits in the GT bumper. Either way, "hard" mounting requires some permanent modifications to the front bumper (drilling holes or cutting slits).

I wouldn’t mind drilling holes but slits are more complicated. Also I don’t think the German rush canards have anything to take a bolt?

You could probably drill holes in the canards and then rivet nut them if you really are set on hard mounting it.

But why put holes in the bumper at all? Is the concern about the 3M tape not holding up?

Ah, I see. Makes sense. I'm not sure if that's worth the trade-offs of permanently modifying the bumper or not, personal preference.

FWIW - this deal is likely the cheapest way to give it a try 😉 Especially if you try to drill into it to hard mount it.

I've seen them mounted before, I don't think the gap is too bad, espeically because of the angle it sits at once it's mounted. Here's a picture of the 3M tape for reference.
