Attempting to replace pollen filters. Got everything out, however I can not determine how to release/remove or move to the side the subwoofer. It is NOT the black plastic small speaker case unit. It is "423-035-412 OEM Audi R8 Subwoofer ". There is some "play" if one pulls at about the 1 O'clock point on the speaker and they is no "play at the 7 O'clock position...
Is it a twist, or a pull, or what ? Is it bolted/screwed in place or are there just "clips" ?
The vehicle and sound system are as from the factory.
Any input, especially with pictures would be greatly appreciated. Thank-You, Dawgger

All the speakers I’ve removed from my ‘12 were bolted. I removed the ones behind the seats to access seat belt assemblies. I don’t know specifically of your speaker in question but I’d imagine it is not just clips.

Thank-You. I figured things out and you are correct the speaker is bolted in.

Access to the nuts on the bolts (permanently attached to the speaker) is from outside the cabin. One must remove the 4 panels surrounding the frunk bucket, the wipers, and hood struts. Then at the "fire wall" just behind the washer reservoir are the 2 - 13mm nuts on 10mm bolts (do not over tighten on reinstall). Remember the drain tube at the bottom of the speaker when reinstalling same.
