All the speakers I’ve removed from my ‘12 were bolted. I removed the ones behind the seats to access seat belt assemblies. I don’t know specifically of your speaker in question but I’d imagine it is not just clips.

 

Thank-You. I figured things out and you are correct the speaker is bolted in.

Access to the nuts on the bolts (permanently attached to the speaker) is from outside the cabin. One must remove the 4 panels surrounding the frunk bucket, the wipers, and hood struts. Then at the "fire wall" just behind the washer reservoir are the 2 - 13mm nuts on 10mm bolts (do not over tighten on reinstall). Remember the drain tube at the bottom of the speaker when reinstalling same.

Yes the pollen filter replacement is brutal for what it is. I suppose any car that has 7 separate oil drain plugs with at least 4 different replaceable washers for them has to be difficult…
