Hi All,

I've disabled the spoiler on my 17' Gen 2 AWD R8. All is fine with that.

When you disable the traction control and then later exceed 100mph the car forcefully re-enables traction control (I'm assuming because it thinks that the wing is malfunctioning or not up). This is not great when racing.

Does anyone know how to get around this or force it to stop trying to re-enable TC? Is there a way to do this through vagcom / vcds?

The same problem on a TTRS-Forum when changed to the Static Rear Wing. Google it up. I remember someone solved it.

How did you disable the wing? Did you follow the procedure I wrote out on another thread?

I actually had a shop in Orange County do it. I think they followed your thread though. They basically:

Pulled the fuse
Disabled the wing in VCDS
Disabled the wing error on the dash

At regular speeds this is fine but anything over 99mph is an issue.

I'm now experiencing this issue. i disabled my spoiler using VCDS ( I unchecked the box) and thats it. NOW, when i start getting into my powerband, it cuts power down as it reengages ESP without my permission. I gotta know how to fix this. anyone please HEEELLLLPPPPP!!!
