Hello R8Talk Forum Members.
I would like to first thank the members for an awesome forum that provides a wealth of information and to Audi for making one of the most beautiful cars on the road.
I am in the market to purchase my next sports car, and the Audi R8 V10 is at the top of the list.......well that was until I started researching all of the 'maintenance' items required.
Using the forums help I would like to make a list and costs associated with owning a used R8, and things to watch out for when making a used R8 purchase. I realize that a lot of this information can be found in other threads, but having it all together in one place will help me making my decision, and go into my purchase with eyes-wide-open.
I will re-edit this list for corrections and additions as members post additional information...Your help is greatly appreciated. I absolutely love this car, and was heartened to hear forum members calling this car reliable, but after reading more and more about the pitfalls of expensive and often clutch and suspension repairs I am now sad. Knowing that there are better aftermarket replacements may sway me back to purchasing a used R8.
I have driven an R8 V10 and it was FRIGGEN AWESOME !....love, love, love it. The 4WD, looks, handling, power, all incredible. Manual is a must. BUT.........
I would like to split out parts and labor, because I like to do most of the work myself. Please feel free to point out my errors and anything that I might have missed.
