Hi there,

Anyone got any decent returns from a v8 remap?

Is there any point?

Also - anyone advise of a place that’s reputable in the UK?

Thank you all

The gains are quite minimal and most owners don't bother. But for further info from possibly the best in the UK is Ricky at RE Performance in Swindon. [email protected]

I had a German Motoring (now defunct I think) ECU/TCU installed a few years ago, at the time it claimed 30HP gain, the only real gain I could feel was in the TCU tune which sorted out the R-Tronic. As Trev said, if there's a worthwhile tune available Ricky is the man to ask.

I've done considerable research on an ECU tune for the V8 and unless you plan on changing out the exhaust system and airbox configuration for better breathing it's not really worth it as a stand-alone mod.

IMO, get the pedal box +. Increases sensitivity with throttle telepathy and doesn't mess with or potentially compromise the ECU.

I've heard rave reviews on pedal boxes from my customers. Anything from a GTI to an R8. There is no power to be had with one but it definitely makes the accelerator FEEL much much better. Otherwise, start with bolt ons like the Eurowise intake or an exhaust. PM me if you have any questions!

Recently purchased a 2015 V8 with free flowing custom titanium exhaust and talking to my local shop in Minneapolis about a tune. I have Stage II on my S4 and woke that car up, so I know what it feels like in a before and after scenario with that car. I fully understand the numbers on the V8 are not that impressive, however being told with a increased air intake and trans tune I will notice the difference. Anyone out there experience this before? I know it’s a feel, I don’t track my car, just like to run “spirited”.

Thanks in advance for any input

As more & more vehicles start to come with highly efficient turbocharged
motors from most of the European automakers, more & more people are
starting to become spoiled by the significant increase in power you can
get from just software tuning alone for those particular cars.

In contrast, that makes software tuning for high revving normally aspirated
motors seem less than inspiring in comparison ... but the fact of the matter
remains that software tuning is still the single most advantageous upgrade
you can make to these cars, short of adding forced induction.

With that being said, we are obviously biassed, and we have a vested interest
as we sell software!

And with THAT BEING SAID, we offer a full 30-day (no questions asked)
Money-Back Guarantee for the sake of making this as simple of a process
as possible.

Either you are entirely satisfied with what you paid - and in turn what you've
received
... or you can very easily flash the vehicle back to stock and return
the software for a full refund.

In regards to the recommendations to just buy one of the electronic pedal
amplifiers,... one of the noticeable advantages to our software is the improved
pedal feel and modulation - while also benefiting from actually increasing the
power output and torque monitoring of the vehicle.

This does not only make the car "feel faster", it is actually faster by providing
increased horsepower and torque.
