Hi guys,

Noticed in the last week or so that my gen 1 V10 has been getting condensation on the inside of the windows & windscreen when parked up and left.

I noticed water/wet from in the passenger side door bin/storage.

I'm assuming a window seal may have failed or maybe the door drain holes have filled with crap.

Has anyone had anything similiar & does anyone know where the door drain holes are so i can try and clean them out before i rip the door card off?

Thanks in advance!

My advice would be to firstly check that the drain holes in the bottom of the door are clear. You can use a thin piece of wire to do this. Then with the door open, pour some water down the outside of the window and check if its coming out of the drain holes.

someone has to help this guy with more info. Seems like a question many of the members would know the answer to.?.?.
If you run your fingers along the lower metal edge of the door its pretty obvious where the drain holes are. I don't know why but on mine on each side one has a bung in it and the other one is open. My doors regularly catch a small puddle of water in the bottom which drips out when I open the doors.

So just to update, after checking the drain holes on the doors they were clear but I then discovered a wet carpet behind the drivers seat (UK RHD).

I dried up the carpet and on dry days it seems to be fine but I checked again this morning after it had rained the couple of days before and its wet again.

Is there anywhere from the rear bulkhead/rear window that water can leak from?

Is the carpet on the rear bulkhead wet? If so your leak could be the partition glass.

So only the carpet on the floor behind the drivers seat is wet.

The bulkhead carpet seems dry, the carpet under the seat also seems dry and the drivers footwell is also dry.
I'm sure I don't have to tell you that water leaks can be a first class pita to find, but a couple of things you can try.

Put your phone on record facing the general area of the dampness and play a hose or power washer over the car.

Examine the rear edge of the door window to ensure it is fully closing. Comparing it to the passenger side may help.

Good luck.

Latest Update

So after shutting my dad in the car while I hosed it down at all different angles & on different parts of the car we couldn't find anything leaking from the door seals.

We took the rear parcel shelf out and managed to pull the carpet and underlay up from the floor behins the seats which turned out to be absolutely soaked.

I couldn't find any obvious water marks/stains from anywhere around the wet floor.

My only theory is could it be it coming from the engine bay down into the rear bulkhead, but I can't see any indication of any water.

Any ideas would be appreciated 😅
