My first car was a 1991 Toyota MR2 Turbo that I purchased in 1990. I increased the horsepower from 200 to 300 by adding the typical bolt on for a turbocharged car like intake, exhaust, intercooler and bigger turbo. One of my good friend named her the little red mongrel. I never thought I would sell the MR2 in a million years but along came the mistress and the rest was history...it is true what they say...anything is replaceable. I sold the Mr2 for the mistress in 2018 which is a 2015 Brilliant red gated V8 R8. Btw, the wife came up with that name for the R8.

1968 Dodge Coronet 500. It was my grandfather’s car that he let me help spec out (a bit) when he bought it new. I got him to order a 440 magnum, but he insisted on an automatic, Of course the 440 option upgraded the tranny, rear differential, cooling system, dual exhaust, and front disc brakes. No power windows (he thought if you drove into a lake you couldn’t get out of the car). No eight track, just an AM radio he never turned on. At least it had push buttons.
When I got it from him, I gave it the Italian tune up. (I’m sure he never floored it.) The amount of carbon and gunk that blasted out of the tail pipes was prodigious.

1971 Alfa Berlina 1750 with Euro headers and cams. It was so ugly it depreciated like a rock, so I could afford to buy it used, and it drove great!
