Just wanted to share some pictures of Scott's 2014 Underground Racing Twin Turbo DCT Audi R8 Plus. This is a Stage 2 setup with stock engine that makes over 800 whp on pump gas. Some of the other upgrades include the JRR MoTeC plug and play ECU with boost by gear. It has a Stage 1 DCT Clutch Upgrade. This Audi R8 Plus is the factory matte Blue and still under 1,000 miles. Be on the lookout for some videos of this car on the Dallas Texas highways!

The TT Audi R8 Plus is truly an amazing car to drive and basic builds have a turn around time of only 4-6 weeks by appointment and include a 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty.

If you’re interested in a build for your Huracan, Aventador, Gallardo, Murcielago or Audi R8, please don't hesitate to call or email anytime.

Thanks, Kevin Howeth

We have not run any R8's at a 1/4 mile track. I will have to look up 1/4 ET in our 1/2 runs but we were over 190 mph in the 1/4 as far as MPH in the R8. We ran low 8's in an Egear 08 SL on street tires a few years back. The R8 is the same thing, so if we needed to or had a customer that wanted to go for a low 8 sec pass, I would see no prob in doing so.

The 1/2 mile and roll racing is very popular at this point. Maybe one day soon drag racing will be hot again. I hope so anyway.

Looks awesome, guys- we should meet up at a 1/4 mile track and line them up! ;)
Actually we are going to be at the Tx2k DRAG and roll race nationals. You guys should come out. We will have some customers with some Bolton TT's that would willing to race. ;)

Its a great event if you guys have never checked it out.

The show "Street Outlaws" is setting records on Discovery channel. I think drag racing is as popular as ever, just my opinion. Yellowbullet has more registered users than almost all of the other car forums combined. I know in my neck of the woods, it's alive and well and actually setting new attendance records for small tire shootouts and KOTS or King of the Streets events. Unfortunately they don't respect our platform (Audi/Lamborghini) because we make over 2000 hp and run 10's. They were saying the exact same thing about the Supra back in the day and those cars became more than just "dyno queens" as they used to call them.
I can't even begin to describe the reaction I get from friends of mine who run these small tire shootouts and x275 when I tell them that there are racing events where cars try to match a speed, side by side, while looking for a green light, only to then hit the throttle while going 60 mph or something that is never equal. But it does seem like there are a bunch of events that offer this racing and it is getting popular.
The drag strip(s) is open all year round multiple days a week. I'd have to say it's more popular than the organized "let's get rolling first" type events given vast amount of different classes/factory sponsorships in drag racing.
Drag Racing in the R8/Gallardo world is not popular. Maybe its the worry about putting a 300K + car in the wall? I wish as its the biggest thing I miss about the Viper world is all the drag racing we did. I have to say, these Lambo/R8's going 238mph in a street car on street tires down the 1/2 mile from a dead stop is pretty exciting. The STREET roll race simulation from 60 are a ton of fun also.

The TI roll race is a very popular event.. All the top tuners come here.

10's? This one was at 1750whp but not until the end of 3rd. This is a slow shifting factory Egear car on street tires. This was almost 4 years ago.

Kevin you expect that the 2017 platform for R8 to be close to previous gen? Any donor cars lined up for discounted setups? HEHE...
I think it will be just like the Huracan. We already have 2017 R8's booked for the turbo upgrade once their cars are released from Audi. ;)

It will be the same as the TT Huracan setups. See video. ;)

Nice vid, must be new as I hadn't seen.

Kevin is it fair to say that these Huracan and new R8 are brutally fast because of the DTC? The red Huracan has turbo kit and clutch and it went ~200mph in the 1/2 mile.
Those kinda of # just a couple years ago took a lot of heavy mods to achieve. Am I correct on these assumptions?

Thanks
They are fast no matter what Tranny they have. The DCT cars will be much better to drag race though.
