I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this same AC cooling coil freezing issue and found a solution? The coil freezing is causing the AC to intermittent cut off/on the compressor every couple of minutes and causing the cabin to be too cold or too warm. I'm calling it the Goldilocks of AC problem! 
The workshop has been trouble shooting and trying to eliminate the possible causes but with varying degrees of success. The factory recommended AC gas is 650 grams (+/- 20 grams) for the V8 so we've adjusted the gas up and down hoping to prevent the freeze but to no avail. Too little gas and the compressor can't cool the air, too much and the freezing issue gets worse.
The AC was working perfect when I bought the car but the workshop suggested I change the 2 front AC Condensers due to rock chip damage to the fins so they were replaced. The freezing coils problem started right after!
The explanation I got was the old condenser fins were more than 50% bent shut but the gas could still get cold but not cold enough to freeze the cooling coils. With the new condensers, "it's working so well" that the gas is too cold. Is this explanation likely?
There was some anomaly reading of the pressure being too high at idle but as soon as the car gets moving, the pressure drops to normal. There's no gas leak but had the "High Pressure Sensor" changed to the newer version as a prevention. We're now looking at changing the "Expansion Valve" and see if the High Pressure at idle will resolve and the low pressure to not drop so low. Next on the list is to replace the Solenoid on the compressor to see if it can regulate the gas temp. I have no idea what all the above means, only that it was suggested as a possible fix.
So any possible solution short of replacing the AC system with a new compressor? Ricky RD, your input here would be much appreciate! Thanks all.
