To each their own but I would not go with a cast wheel on an R8.

They look awesome. Do you have any sideshots?

Yes, please DM me your contact that's a great price.
you get that you pay for - the reason that this is 1/2 the price is because this is a cast wheel, and not forged from a single block of aluminum. The are apt to cracking and far more prone to flat spotting from road imperfections.

Take a look at my Brixton. CM-5 ultra sport. Not crazy expensive and look nice. They’re forged monoblock. But lots of detail.

Just be careful w offsets in the front. I ffed up and was 2 mm off too deep and slightly scraped the calipers. So had to get 3mm spacers. The shape of the spokes is really important. If you look at the OEM y-spokes they bend out around the caliper and not straight like my Brixtons. So u can get a slightly deeper offset if your custom wheels spokes bend vs. Straight out from the center cap.

That was something I didn’t consider. Next time I’m gonna spend the big bucks and go w a 3-piece and have much more flexibility and options w offsets, color schemes, designs, etc. even though they’re like +5 lbs heavier per wheel.

Im not sure where you got your wheels from, but they retail for about $8K a set - doable for some but for the OP I think that falls into that 'crazy expensive' classification.

Most of these wheels are built by the same manufacturer out of Anaheim CA - Brixton (along with many others) design the wheels but don't go to the level of expensive to bring their manufacturing in house. You would think that's crazy for a wheel company that can charge as much as $30K for a wheel set (their new CF 3 piece) but it's kind of the industry standard. AG does their own in house MFG, but I am sure they run overflow to outsourcing, much like HRE does.

For bespoke wheels, there isn't a lot that a monoblock can't do that a 3 piece can. Offsets that aren't right are a math mistake rather than a result of the forging itself. 3 piece will have a little more flexibility because there are 3 different pieces you can use to hone in on width and offset. The compromise though is weight, strength, and general survivability - they bend WAY easier than a monoblock and hit that pothole just right, and they are prone to leaking at the seam.

Also, 3-piece just suck to clean at the point the spoke meets the outer lip - my OCD goes on overdrive.

Completely agree. 3 piece is just a headache. Made the mistake and won't do it again.

P.S. just ceramic coat your rims. Makes your life alot easier.

I have the pf10 on my vegas yellow car in 2 piece. Came with my last r8 and swapped them over to this one since I had 2. Feel like they are pretty heavy compared to stock
