In anticipation of my R8, I’m looking to find paddle shifters and I came across Audi’s paddle shifters. Has anyone tried them before? How do they feel?

Does it mean the material feels higher quality to touch but it gives the same feedback?
I’ve been watching reviews and everyone complains the paddles feel cheap. Some also say it lacks feedback. So I’m guessing these paddles won’t address the “lacks feedback” problem.

you are touching them 1/2 second at a time……WTF?

I replaced the stock paddles with the carbon audi sport ones on my 2017 Gen 2. So I actually use these day to day.

They are a totally different feel to the stock paddles. The stock paddles feel flimsy like they are two pieces stuck together.

The carbon paddles are firm and feel like one piece. Hence the press feels much more direct. No flex at all. Im 99% sure they are not skinned stock paddles but full carbon fibre.

I think they are a massive improvement. If the above defines feedback then go for it.

The next question is are they worth the money ? Well that is up to the buyer I suppose.
