The less expensive alternatives are to find the original fitted R8 leather luggages on the used market. On occasions they still pop up for sale. The most recent being from a few months ago here...

The original R8 bags are super nice with the R8 logo embossed on them. I managed to pick up a 3 piece set years back from a member here. Fits perfect.

I have noticed some advertisements for some custom luggage. Has anyone had experience with these and if so, what are your thoughts? The custom fit luggage for the forward trunk seems rather expensive. I am curious if the shapes/sizes proved to be adequate for overnight/weekend trips and if there are less expensive alternatives available.

I didn't realize the soft leather bags came with black felt lining as well. Learned something new today.

Strange my 3-piece soft bags are with the red felt. The member I bought it from here did mention it was from a custom group buy.

I was thinking the same Ez.

If it was a black set, there would've been a stampede!

And another one gone! If someone didn't snag this, I was seriously considering buying it just to resell it. The price was so far below market (I know the cream color isn't for everyone, and most have a black interior)... but no less, someone got a ridiculously good deal! Congrats to the lucky buyer.
