Hello again R8 experts.
Here is my problem. Bought a 2008 R8 with 15K on it and love the car, but it has had a squeak now for about a month. I understand that brakes on these cars do squeal, and that is what I THOUGHT this was.
Rotational squeak that can now be heard anywhere below 30mph. Loud high pitched squeak, clearly every time one particular part of some piece of machinery comes in contact with something. It has progressively gotten worse.
Replaced both front and rear pads, had them grooved, had them lubed, all of it. Still, wont go away. Today I notice I can shut it up by turning the wheel right 75% of the time, seems worse when turning left. I can shut it up by a certain amount of parking brake application but only briefly. It is louder the longer I drive the car (impossible to hear for the first 10 minutes) indicating a heat sensitivity.
To add, Ive had warped rotors before and I do not notice the usual shaking that one would expect under hard braking at speed to indicate this.
The dealer has no idea, all brakes replaced (even the **** parking brakes on both sides). Literally everything in the braking system has been done.
Help!?!!
