Has anyone got feedback on the TRW pads? Will only be street use.
They are ridiculously cheap atm from reputable supplier so not fake but wondered if they might be too cheap to be true. A quarter of the price of Audi pads.

TRW are not bad pads but you want to ensure they are the real article and not Chinese copies.

That's what I was thinking given that they also make OEM pads for lots of marques, I know they might not be the same compound as the OEM R8 pads.
They are from a large mainstream supplier so I am as sure as possible that they are not counterfeit.

Will test them and see how different a ÂŁ200 TRW set is to an Audi supplied ÂŁ900 set. If they are not good it's easy to swap them out.

TRW is an OEM supplier - but not for brake pads to Audi for the R8
The compound will not be the same

We have the OEM front pads in stock, latest version, on discount at the moment. Please send us a PM if interested.

Kind regards

EBC is one brand I would stay clear of.

Safety critical part on a supercar. Definitely not the place to save money (same for tires and suspension). Buy the OEM from @R8-Stuff. Cheapest insurance out there. And the cheaper pads could have noise issues, which is common with inexpensive pads.

Yes don't want to compromise safety and don't need track rated pads either. They are genuine TRW that at rrp would be similar price to Audi supplied oem. Posted to gather feedback from anyone who has used TRW pads either on the R8 or other cars for real helpful information.
