We have both available, including with the single round outlet, as on your GT:
Sorry my response was vague.

You mentioned you have a customer that just ordered a valved Race X-pipe. I was asking if that unit (that's currently in production) is for a V8 or V10? Cuz if it's a V8, sound clips wouldn't help me. If it's for a V10, I definitely wanna hear it :)

Oh so close. I think we will just miss DHL this afternoon so it will probably ship Monday for Weds delivery.
Was hoping for a Weds. delivery, but DHL just sent me a text indicating a July 5th delivery. I was hoping to have it back together by the weekend for the Charlotte Cars and Coffee. Just my luck. Oh well.

Received my Super Sport exhaust last night. Wow, what a huge weight savings. And, with all of the angles and bends, Velocity has their jig just right. Took a little finessing to get the two outlet tubes adjusted correctly, but a couple of minor tweaks and it is spot on. Hopefully have it all buttoned up by Friday.

Here's some development shots of the work in progress. The way we designed our Audi systems as you can see, the tips are joined to the exhaust with a stainless steel lap-band clamp. This allows for easy adjustment of the tips to ensure perfect fitment every time, as well as cutting down on shipping costs due to packing up smaller (thus saving the customer money :) )

We have used the same approach with the valvetronic setup so that the tips will be fully interchangeable with our fixed sound level exhausts. Customers will be able to order the valvetronic sound level in different sound levels for 'valve closed' operation. In this case it is a Race/Sport setup, but it could be made as Race/Supersport or Race/Touring or Race/Custom sound level.

Another fun fact - because of the way we designed the interchangeable tips, all of these exhausts will actually fit the R8V8, R8V10, Facelift/GT, R8 Gen 2, Lamborghini LP550/560/570, and Huracan depending upon which tip section you fit to them.

We primarily did this to appeal to dealers who may not want to stock a lot of product, because let's say they stock a 'Race' a 'Supersport' and a 'Race/Sport Valvetronic' with R8 Gen1, R8 Facelift, R8 Gen2, LP and Hurucan Tip sections. So basically 3.25 full exhaust setups. That actually constitutes 3 discrete sound levels x 6 different individual vehicles = 18 total permutations of sound levels and vehicles. So with more or less 3 exhausts you can guarantee that you have exactly what anyone who drives up to the shop might want at any one time.

Alright, I have good news and bad news. THE GOOD NEWS: Finally got it all back together. I ordered the Super Sport System per Stuarts suggestion. The lap-band system does make it easy to get the tips exactly where they need to be. I had to hold the rear fascia up to the car several times to get the tips where they needed to be, but no problem with a good neighbor friend and a couple of cold ones. There are some excellent step by step directions online that made the process quite trouble-free. A lot of hidden nuts and bolts that would have caused some frustration. Although my car has only 8K miles, it was a nice opportunity to clean everything while it was apart. Fired it up last night and no leaks or issues. It smoke quite a bit for a couple of minutes while burning off the contaminants but initial sound was promising. Cleaned it all up, jumped in the pool to cool off quick (96 degrees here in NC), and took it on it's maiden voyage. Now the bad news.

THE BAD NEWS: I can't park this thing. Told the wife I'd be right back for dinner, but that sh*# was cold when I got home. The sound and the dual tone from the exhaust is intoxicating. At low RPM and normal driving it won't be intrusive to anyone. The initial warm up is quite louder than stock, but it's cool. Once you roll into it the sound comes alive. As you go through the gears it sings like European Super Car should. This is the sound we're looking for boys and girls. And, for the price, I doubt anyone out there can improve much on this. I believe you'll hear a lot more about VELOCITY-AP. Thanks Stuart.

NOTE: The author of this article was NOT compensated in any way by VelocityAP for this review. In fact, he was a bit a of a pain in the ass when he thought the exhaust might not make it to him by the holiday weekend. LOL (Thanks again Stuart)

Thank-you Dwight, I'm really glad that you're so happy with the results. I'm a gear-head just like all of you and when you order go-faster parts you always want them to work out, and you want to feel like you got good value for money. So it is very rewarding for us to be able to deliver that for you.

Hopefully I will find a Mustang dyno this week and have V8 sound clips for the super sport system up!! Can't wait to hear this beauty!!! Go bored while waiting.... Polished her up!

Anyone running the Velocity AP Sport or Supersport exhaust on a V8? All the sound clips seem to be V10's.

Owen and Aaron at Pasadena Motorcars are great. They worked on my Astons in the past.
